Do we – in the rush to display our ‘personal brand’ through confidence, presence and certainty, deny room for doubt, curiosity and learning?

States Kennedy, “we have surrendered personal excellence and community values in the mere accumulation of material things.”
Society still encourages us to value our work and even our leisure according to the economic value they generate.
But how much longer can this go on?

And when I think this, I remember the power of the small. The power of the personal. The power of reflection. The power of one person’s story to enlighten, provoke, challenge and comfort.

The way we work is not a law of nature. It’s not like this because it has to be. It’s like this because we created it this way.

And so, it dawned on me that it’s this very thing our Free Range lawyers want: enough control to synchronise their time with what’s important to them.

Conceptual thinking – imagining how things could be – is one of the aspects we’ve covered in our assessments. Results suggest that lawyers score lower for conceptual thinking than the average respondent.
